I noticed today the blog hit a new milestone and broke pass the 29,000 RSS reader mark. Right now, the FeedBurner chicklet is showing 29,177 readers. At this rate of growth, I should pass the 30K reader mark next month. Ive written many posts in the past on how to increase RSS subscriptions. Heres a recap on my top four methods plus why RSS is important.
Why RSS Is Important
Building the RSS readership is my number one priority for the blog and it should be your number one priority as well. A RSS reader is far more important than a reader who drops by from a search engine or a link from another site. If you think of your blog as a magazine, your RSS readers are like the magazine subscribers and people who drop by your site from other sources are like newsstand sales.
Magazine subscriptions are far more valuable than newsstand sales. Ad rates are based on how many subscribers a magazine has and not how many issues are sold at the newsstands. Newsstand sales, like traffic from Google and other sources, can be very inconsistent. By contrast, subscriptions are like money in the bank. If you want to see how important subscriptions are to a magazine, let one of your magazine subscriptions run out and watch how hard the magazine will try to get you back.
Having a big RSS reader base protects you from the unpredictable nature of the Internet. Google can like you one day and hate you the next. If most of your traffic comes from Google, then you better start building your RSS readership. The main reason I am unaffected by anything that Google does to me is because of my base of RSS readers.
Make It Easy for The Reader Subscribe
You should never assume that your readers are smart enough to find the URL to your RSS feed. Shoemoney made that mistake when he removed his FeedBurner button. He just assumed that his readers would be smart enough to find his RSS link.

Americano new top 10 >>> Read more...
how many of you have an auntie that was with the same man for 12 yrs before they got married? or your aunt and uncle met at 12yrs old and have been together ever since? or how many guys did your mom date before she married your father? if you are african-american, at least one of these scenarios is a part of your family history. this is serial monogamy at its best. and these are the examples that us black girls have followed for far too long.

when i think back to what my mother taught me about dating, my mind goes blank. my mother taught me all about being my own woman, being strong, being independent, but never what to expect from a man. unfortunately during my most formative years (6-13 yrs old), there was no man in my household. so when i started dating, i had no examples to reference, never determining if it what was right or wrong.

i was a fast ass growing up and always sought out male attention. i constantly had a new boy at school or in the neighborhood that i was enamored with. my mom would always say, "you change boys like you change your drawls." after hearing that so many times, i deduced that i was supposed to stick to one boy at a time. that did not seem so bad, but being a natural sagittarius caused me to get bored very easily (we are nomadic people). to solve that problem, i would stick with one boy at a time, but for very short periods of time. again i was hit with disapproval from my parents. my father would say, "you never give guys a chance. you should give them an opportunity to mess up before you toss them aside." so this is more advice that i took to heart and tried to integrate into my dating repertoire.

so when i went off to college, what i knew about dating was 1) that i need to stick to one guy at a time and 2) to stick with them until they mess up. thus my concept of serial monogamy was born. my first year of college, i was the sole black girl in my dorm suite. i watched my white counterparts go out every weekend and bring home a new guy each time. THOSE WHORES!!!!! actually i did not think that about them, they looked like they were having a great time. i spent my first semester pining after blue eyed Craig, who wasn't thinking about me. but i called myself being patient and taking on one guy at a time. hell i liked a lot of guys in college, but i never let it be known because i would always hear my mother's voice. so when most young girls were sowing their wild oats, i was behaving like an old maid.

i have spoken to my closest friends and they have all experienced the same phenomena. hell i saw them experience it in college. when i relocated to atlanta, i decided that i could reinvent myself. no one knew me here and i could do what i wanted. so i started dating. yes more than one guy for a short period of time dating. i don't remember all of their names or even what some of them look like, but i met guys and had great adventures with them. there was no guilty momma voice, no obligations, no long extended tolerance of bad behaviors, just fun times had by all. i even made some good friends along the way.

people ask me why black girls don't date. my answer is serial monogamy, its what we are taught to do. of course there are plenty of other aspects to the concept; socialization of african-american women, religious beliefs, the madonna-whore complex, etc. but like my cousin says, "normal is what you know." so if all the women in my family are serial monogamist, why would i be different? yes i can learn new things, but taught by who? when a female in the family decides to date, she risks being treated like a leper and gets the side eye from almost everyone.

but in 2008, i am trying to single-handedly break the cycle of serial monogamy. i have two success stories and am diligently working on a third. i encourage all single african-american women to see as many men as possible. i didn't say sleep with them all, but experience a variety of men. it helps you make the correct selection when you decide to settle down. if you need some help, advice or suggestions, hit me up. remember, i am the expert.

All information >>> Read more...

People will try to tell you you can’t do a certain project, or you need tons of cash on hand to tackle minor projects its one of my biggest beefs. Perhaps they mean well, but the problem is that folks less pigheaded than the average Toolmonger might actually listen and not attempt small household repairs. The simple fact: You can do a lot of projects yourself, without thirty years experience or thousands of dollars to throw at em.
This picture by ghb624 sums up the attitude I’m talking about: Just get it done. That’s often all it takes. In this case, ghb had a leak in his roof, but instead of whining and crying about what to do or wondering how much it would cost, he got up on the roof and fixed it.
You’ll notice theres no fanfare, no spectators in the photo with him thats how DIY is. Some call it thankless work; we call it getting it done. And once youve got a few tools and a few projects under your belt, you may find that fixing a sink or replacing a toilet isnt as scary as it used to be.
Whether youre a rank amateur or seasoned veteran, try and tackle that window that won’t shut, or install the new garage door opener yourself. Though youll want to leave some projects to the pros AC unit repair, for instance you can pull off most of em without the hired guns.

Americano the best top 10 >>> Read more...

1. Hi, Stella. Please introduce yourself to our readers and tell us what your role is in SolidTrustPay.

Greetings everyone! My name is Stella Hiemstra and I am Vice-President and co-owner of SolidTrustPay.

2. Can you give us some background information on STP? Why did you decide to start STP? How long have you been in operation? How many people work there?

SolidTrustPay launched in May, 2006. We have been providing strong processing solutions ever since. The concept of creating another online solution for merchants came about as the result of the needs of two of our other companies: an international music publishing company (which was tired of using PayPal) and our former online advertising portal company (which was sick of the high fees charged by others). SolidTrustPay has 18 full time and 3 part time staff.

3. To start with, what are the different types of account available to open? How does one then open their chosen account? What charges apply to transactions made with these accounts? Following on from that, assuming that SolidTrustPay is the only online account that I have, how do I go about funding it?

Presently, there is one account type which serves both personal and business members. We are soon to launch a new system which will allow new members to choose either Personal OR Business or, if they, wish, mutiples of each.
Opening an account is as easy as clicking the SignUP link right on the SolidTrustPay front page.

Transactions fees vary of course depending on the transaction. Here is a quick breakdown:

Fund or withdraw via Direct Bank Transfer for North America: $2 flat fee
Fund via Bank Wire: $20 flat fee
Fund by Credit/Debit card: 6.5% plus $1.55
Fund by cashiers cheque or money order: $1 flat fee

Withdraw via SolidTrustPay VISA card: $5 flat fee
Withdraw via Bank Wire: $40 flat fee
Withdraw via Direct Bank Transfer for Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, the Philippines or China: $10 flat fee
Withdraw via cashiers cheque: $7.50 for US members
Withdraw via regular business cheque: $4.00 for CAD and INTL members

Transfers to verified Merchants and SolidTrustPay members: 1.5% plus $.25
NO account setup or monthly maintenance fee
NO minimum balance required

4. How widely accepted is STP as a payment processor now? What kind of businesses are using it?

SolidTrustPay grows by over 200 members daily and approximately 10 new merchants weekly. You can check out our Shopping Mall area for a partial list of merchants (this area is a free advertising portal for verified SolidTrustPay merchants, who can choose or not choose, to be listed there).

Most business models are accepted, except for those that are not allowed in our jurisdiction (Canada) or that we choose not to allow. A list of disallowed business types can be found in our FAQs.

5. Your home page says We do NOT accept adult, tobacco, firearm, pharmaceutical, dating, gambling, lottery or casino businesses of any kind. Why not? I mean if they are legally registered business entities and compliant with the laws of your own jurisdiction, why is it a problem?

Tobacco, firearm and pharmaceutical companies are expressly NOT allowed by our particular credit card agreements. It is very widely known that processing for US citizens attempting to fund online gaming, lottery and casino sites is illegal. It is our personal choice to disallow adult and dating sites.

6. Your home page also says SolidTrust is an authorized independent agent of VirtualMoney INC. Who are they? What can you tell us about them?

Presently, the VirtualMoney company is undergoing restructuring and a total sale of their business to another company. They are an ATM cash card provider.

7. For the benefit of non-members, where can we view a list of verified merchants that accept SolidTrustPay?

Our Shopping Mall area provides a partial list of merchants, as mentioned above. More merchants integrate daily.

8. Do you have a referral program? How does it work?

We most certainly do! We share a portion of the funds received when members fund and withdraw from their accounts. 1% of the fees received are shared with whomever introduced another member to SolidTrustPay AND whomever THEY refer. There is no maximum amount you can earn on your referral indefinitely. We have many members happily earning extra cash daily on referral fees - these fees are instantly added to your SolidTrustPay account.

9. How safe is STP? How do you protect members from identity theft? What measures have you taken to prevent hackers and DDoS attacks from damaging the site?

We are as safe as any online company can be. Every precaution to protect members accounts and identity has been taken. All sensitive information (bank accounts, credit cards, passwords) is encrypted. Not even staff members can see passwords! IF someone were to access an SolidTrustPay account, all they would see would be regular contact info (the same as is easily gotten from whitepages.com, for example). Verification information, once verified, is shredded. We are protected by MacAfee HackerSafe as well as the ProLexic DDoS protection company.

10. Under what circumstances would you freeze a members account? If the subsequent investigation proves that the member was indeed guilty of some offense, what then happens the money? What legal authority to you have to do this?

Members accounts are only suspended in the case of proven fraud and/or abuse. If this is found to indeed by the case, the account in question loses its verification status and any funds, if available, are returned to the original senders. We do not accept the once paid, always paid concept so popular in the e-currency world (E-Gold, LibertyReserve, etc.). If a merchant has been found to be guilty of intentional fraud, we do not allow them to continue. Only after a number of months of complete inactivity and inability to contact the merchant or to reach a resolution with a merchant, do we suspend the account. Refunding their clients is not a question of legal authority but of services not rendered. We strongly urge merchants to resolve all complaints.

11. If I am the victim of fraud, what course of action should I take? Is it possible to get refunded? What if the perpetrator has already withdrawn the money and closed their account?

Fraud occurs only when a merchant or admin has a refund or guarantee policy in place, and then defaults on that policy. Abuse occurs if a merchant attempts to bypass their program committments by funneling funds out of their account to non-program members. Abuse occurs if a merchant completely disappears and members have no access to the services/products they purchased. A refund is then possible. Fraud does NOT occur merely if a member is unhappy with a particular program, or feels that, even though they agreed to the terms of a program, want those terms to be ignored, or waived for them. Fraud does NOT occur if a program merely ends after operating according to terms for a length of time.

12. What is your policy on HYIPs and autosurf sites that want to use STP as a payment processor?

We allow legitimate HYIPs and autosurfs. They are, however, monitored very closely. SolidTrustPay reserves the right to question any admin on their account transactions and request further information on any withdrawals or suspicious looking transactions; we reserve the right to request business licenses, business plans, etc. in order to verify proper program maintenance.

13. Do you think the recent scandals involving E-Bullion and AlterGold has tarnished the image of payment processors in general? Has it had a negative affect on STP?

The online Payment Processing Industry is a tough field to play in. The field is littered with the corpses of past processors - many of whom you and your readers will be well aware of! SolidTrustPays reputation is very strong - we have been attacked by other processors in an attempt to tarnish our reputation, as well as program administrators who have become unhappy with our strict policies and members likewise. This is, of course, to be expected. No company can be perfect all the time, and ones competitors or enemies will always try to make themselves look better by slandering someone else.

14. What is your opinion of your main competitors, like AlertPay, LibertyReserve, etc? What would you say are the advantages of choosing an account with STP over the others?

AlertPay is an excellent company. We have attempted to interface with them, but they do not allow interaction other processors, which is unfortunate. I opened a LibertyReserve account, and 3 days later was getting spam and phishing emails to a unique email I used with them, so do not have much confidence in their system, I am afraid. I have always liked the E-Gold system, despite their issues, and hope that they come back as a strong e-currency in 2009. I have accounts with almost every major processor just to see what they are like on the inside - and believe that we are a top competitor in every way.

The SolidTrustPay advantage is two fold: customer service and options.

Customer Service: you can reach a support person in our office via phone, support ticket, live chat and direct email. We go out of our way to resolve any and all issues. You will get a real person who can get you a real answer in a very short period of time. It is unrealistic to expect a company to have 100% perfection all the time, but it IS realist to expect them to take care of your needs 100% of the time when required! We promise to take care of your needs!

16. If I have several accounts with different processors, can you recommend a good exchange program for transferring funds between them?

Our only recommended exchanger is www.exchangesplus.com There are other companies and even individuals out there, but we do not necessarily recommend them.

17. What are your plans for the near future? What other features and options do you plan to introduce to make STP even more competitive and attractive to customers?

We have many exciting plans for the future! In January of 2009 an entirely new website is being developed. Here are just a few of the new features:

European Electronic Direct Deposit

Faster ACH withdrawals as an additional option to the regular ACH withdrawals

Plug and Play Shopping Cart for Merchants

Lower Credit Card funding rates

Choice of Personal OR Business account (or one of each)

NEW SolidTrustPay Secure ID Card - your own personal contact card with secret coding for account verification

Hold balances in multiple currencies - withdraw or fund in those currencies thus avoiding extra exchange fees

We have been working on these features for months. Some of the above updates were scheduled for release in 2008 but programming and developing being what it is.has taken longer than expected. SolidTrustPay is looking ahead to a very positive 2009. We will continue to work hard to be your payment processor of choice!
Thank you for this opportunity to share more about SolidTrustPay with your readers! Seasons Greetings to all.

Well I hope you guys all found that as interesting as I did. In fact I think its one of the most interesting interviews weve seen recently. And while I know it is not what you are accustomed to seeing here, I do think its always beneficial to have some insight into the workings of an area of this industry that many investors seldom give a second thought to. So thanks a lot to Stella for her interview and her good wishes. I would also like to wish her and all SolidTrustPay team all the very best at this festive season.

More info about >>> Read more...

Nobel laureate Steve Chu reportedly will head the Department of Energy, a huge win for solar power. Chu is a real visionary, and solar is first on his list, so we're sending him a copy of a brand new working paper (posted today!) by David Wheeler and Kevin Ummel called Desert Power: The Economics of Solar Thermal Electricity For Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Wheeler and Ummel argue for rapid, very large scale deployment of existing solar thermal technology in North Africa and the Middle East in order to avoid construction of coal plants in Europe and drive down the cost of solar thermal technology. Using project finance calculations and a GIS analysis of solar radiation maps, land use, and possible power transmission corridors to Europe, they show that with modest subsidies, solar power generated in North Africa and the Middle East could meet the needs of 35 million Europeans by 2020. At that point, solar power would be cheaper than fossil fuels and future projects would no longer require subsidies.
This is the kind of energy revolution needed in the US and in rapidly growing developing countries, and we look forward to Secretary Chu making this a priority in President Obama’s administration.

Best sites about >>> Read more...

A team of Franciscan archaeologists digging in the biblical town of Magdala in what is now Israel say they have unearthed vials of perfume similar to those that may have been used by the woman said to have washed Jesus' feet.

The perfumed ointments were found intact at the bottom of a mud-filled swimming pool, alongside hair and make-up objects, the director of the dig conducted by the group Studium Biblicum Franciscanum told the Terrasanta.net religious website.

"If chemical analyses confirm it, these could be perfumes and creams similar to those that Mary Magdalene or the sinner cited in the Gospel used to anoint Christ's feet," Father Stefano de Luca, the lead archaeologist, told the website.

Mary Magdalene is cited in the New Testament as a steadfast disciple of Christ from whom seven demons were cast out. She is often considered the sinner who anointed Jesus' feet.

"The discovery of the ointments in Magdala at any rate is of great importance. Even if Mary Magdalene was not the woman who washed Christ's feet, we have in our hands 'cosmetic products' from Christ's time," De Luca said.

Top 10 >>> Read more...

    <lj:music>Iron Maiden</lj:music>

To extend the swimming season after summer has come and gone, many people are turning to swimming pool heaters. A heater is great to have, especially with colder days. If you’ve thought about buying a heater for your swimming pool, there are probably a lot of things that you’ve found yourself wondering.
When using a pool heater, you can adjust the temperature of your pool water to virtually any level that you are comfortable with. The recommended temperature for a pool is 78 degrees, although most people prefer to have their water just a bit warmer, around 80 degrees. The choice is up to you, as you can’t really go wrong with either of the two.
During the year, the sun can only get your pool water so hot for a somewhat brief period of time. When summer ends and things start to cool off, your heater can help you make swimming last longer. If you live in the north, you can actually double your swimming season. Those living in warmer climates, such as Arizona and California can actually triple the amount of swimming by using a heater with their pool.
Even though you may be using a swimming pool heater, you should still invest in a swimming pool cover as well. A cover can help to protect against loss of heat from the pool, holding the heat of water inside the pool instead of letting it out. The fact is, a good cover that has plenty of insulation can actually reduce the amount of heat loss you experience with your water.
There are a few different types of heaters available, although gas fired heaters running off LP gas seem to be the most common. Heaters such as this are easily the least expensive to buy, and also the cheapest to run over time. Oil is another way to heat your pool, and it is common in areas that you are unable to buy gas fired heaters. Other pools choose to run off electricity. Electricity is a great way to heat your pool, although it can easily be the most expensive to run and take the most amount of time to properly maintain.
Last but not least, there’s the solar pool heater. Solar heaters may sound like the ideal way to heat a pool for some, simply because it uses the sun to heat, helping to save money. Even though it may sound like the ideal way to heat a pool, it actually has quite a few disadvantages when you compare it to other types of heaters. You’ll discover one flaw when you go to purchase one - you’ll see that they cost nearly half the amount of your swimming pool!
Even though solar powered heaters sound the best, they truly aren’t. To get the most out of a solar powered heater you’ll need to have large electric pump, which can cost you quite a bit of money. The pump delivers the water from your pool to the solar panels, which will in turn heat up the water. Once you have finished setting up a solar powered heater, you’ll have invested thousands in it - which makes it something you should really try to avoid.
In the world of swimming pool heaters, gas fired heaters remain the best and most cost efficient ways to heat a swimming pool. These heaters can be found locally, or on the Internet. They won’t cost you a lot of money to purchase, and they are very user friendly. Even if you are new to pool heaters - you won’t have any trouble using your new gas fired pool heater.

News >>> Read more...

Eric Rosemans Eruptions: Stocks, Global Markets and Wares

"This aging stock bull market is looking increasingly like a scarred prizefighter after winning too many championships. Indeed, the market is looking increasingly fragile, bruised and battered since the bear market low in October 2002."
In January 2008 I made the above observation about stocks as the market was coming undone. Of course, almost a year later the stock market has collapsed with stocks likely to post their worst calendar year of performance since 1931. Over $10 trillion dollars of global stock market value has been wiped-out in 2008.
So is it time to start looking at stocks again? Despite several bottoms over the last 14 months can we expect stocks to finally form a meaningful rally? From their lows on November 20, stocks have now gained 10%.

Indicators Flash “Buy”
Many market indicators I track are flashing “Buy” since late November. These include high institutional and hedge fund cash levels, extremely bearish investment advisor sentiment readings, big dividend yields for many global markets in excess of benchmark ten-year government bond yields and a rash of hedge fund closures and failures.
Also, individual investors have been dumping stock funds like crazy since July with record net outflows over the last five months and the VIX Index (CBOE Volatility Index) remains highly elevated amid total fear in the market.
Stock market valuations, though not dirt cheap, are certainly looking far more attractive compared to just 12 months ago.
Valuations and dividend yields, which can typically point to either an over-extended or undervalued market, now show fair value for U.S. stocks and high value for European, Asian and emerging market equities following even bigger declines for these markets.
Stocks in Europe yield 5.9% and in Japan the TOPIX pays a 3% dividend – the highest in more than 28 years. Indeed, compared to stocks, government bonds are richly valued and pay the lowest yields in years and, in some cases, decades.
Explosive Bear Market Rally Coming
I’m certainly not bullish by any means. The long-term implications of mass government intervention, widespread regulation and control of several important industries, including finance, won’t encourage bold risk-taking for a long time. Credit markets are grudgingly healing, banks largely won’t lend and TARP and TALF sponsored government programs are taking too long to filter through the economy.
There is absolutely nothing in the cards to suggest a new bull market is on the horizon.
But, like the 1930s, the stock market can post a major short-term reversal and shock the bears with big double or even triple-digit gains. It’s hard to say what might trigger a major reversal; Obama’s inauguration in January, lower LIBOR and inter-bank lending rates or, possibly, a weaker Japanese yen might offer such a catalyst.
The last credit crisis of this magnitude occurred in the 1930s. Judging by trends during that tumultuous era, stocks can indeed post some huge gains, even in a bear market. For example, from its lowest point in June 1932, the Dow Jones Industrials surged more than 162% in the proceeding twelve month period. But by 1937, the Dow began crashing again, plummeting 55% and losing another 28% in 1938 before finally bottoming in 1942.

After crashing more than 45% off the October 2007 all-time highs, U.S. stocks might be attempting to finally muster a bottom. Any rally, however significant, should be viewed in the context of a secular bear market; the badly shattered economy is in no condition to build on a sustainable long-term rally like the 1990s or 1980s.
New Market Leadership: Go for Credit
Ahead of the upcoming bear market rally investors will have to find new leadership. It’s highly unlikely that energy stocks or emerging markets will lead any recovery, however short-lived. Instead of riding a frantically erratic stock market that continues to trade at near-record volatility levels, I would encourage investors to begin accumulating long-term positions in busted credit markets.
The epicentre of this financial crash lies in the distressed credit market – and that’s where investors should focus their buying strategies. Income is vital right now.
The entire spectrum of non-Treasury securities has been crushed since September, including investment-grade corporate bonds, convertible bonds, mortgage-backed agency debt and TIPS, or Treasury Inflation Protected Securities. Emerging market bonds, municipal bonds and junk debt or high-yield bonds have been slammed even harder but should still be avoided as defaults, failed auctions and currency issues plague these credits.
But several other areas of credit look highly compelling.
Investment grade bonds, for example, plunged to their lowest levels since 1981 in September and yield 8.38%, according to the Barclays Capital U.S. Corporate Index.
I don’t know about you, but an 8% or 7% yield today looks mighty appealing. Instead of chasing stocks at these prices, which might yield a terrific trading opportunity, most investors won’t get off the bus on time, similar to 1937 when equities began crashing again.
High grade corporate debt at least offers the investor a combination of above average income, the possibility of capital gains at these low prices and, in some cases, implicit government guarantees on bank debt and agency bonds, which still yield about 5.5% or more compared to expensive Treasury’s.
Nobody can claim that corporate bonds, agency debt or convertible bonds have truly bottomed after more than 16 months of utter panic and several crashes. Yet, as value investors, this is precisely the time to start purchasing these distressed securities.
Ahead of any bear market rally at least conservative investors can ride out the cycle without picking a top before stocks crash lower again. Best of all, those juicy yields and bombed out prices should eventually translate into impressive double-digit gains for investors regardless of where stocks trade.

News >>> Read more...

It can be somewhat confusing to your flank, that they want a particular way of a plot, if you do not dream about it enough, given that there are several options where you can show. To give you what you need in starting your own patch, following your dreams important that you prefer your own.

If you no longer wanted anything to harm your yard to see Nice, you will undoubtedly want a backyard flower. These are the most frequently planted with constant-yard flora varieties, which is correct for all seasons. This kind of plants regularly looks neat weeds, they are tolerated in a year-circular because of their stamina. Different areas have different climate and Zenith plants, which are categorized perennials. If you have information on what are the plants that belong with recurrent, you can be a transient Internet to provide a list of those that can mature in your place; these plants that do not need a lot of thought and can grow by themselves.

Another plot of your wealth is to PEG for vegetable plot. These letters generally requires little more study and detailed than a flower plot, but can be more gratifying. In all the months of the year, you can use for crop plant, which can be grown and make the nascent. In this way you can generate a certain amount of vegetables daily throughout the year.

When you have a bean vegetable patch, you forever in your concern that agriculture is this brand worthless, you will be adding more types of vegetables beyond. In this way, you can get your best production patch can provide, because you are ready to begin immediately a different font, when the specific variety you planted is not time anymore. A plant ejected best suited to a person asking for some construction, but does not want the distribution of most of their time to perfect its patch.

Now you will also have the ability to monitor for a backyard fruit, but it has certainly noticed that the highest-management. When the new fruit, a really requires that sufficient attention is the management of pests it attracts most mice are attracted to sweets and concern the right fertilizer to be used, choosing the right pesticide, which is not equipped from an injury to reach them To eat fruit.

Another thing to remember when you an outline to grow backyard vegetables is that backyard fruit no emissions for the entire months of the year, that their is some kind of soil for a crop of fruit. If you are nice to invest a lot of work for agriculture, fruit garden can be a good solution for you.

So when some of your dreams in the garden, you can now find properly. Make a choice of which class to cultivate your garden to grow, think about what you need to create and how much work you can invest in the style. You can have flowers, but if you want to make your garden enjoyable; If you hardship delicious products and are willing to invest more horticultural work, you can find fruit garden. Just do it true that you are able to start a branch of the garden, you may very knob, and you have a whole garden for you.

See more: >>> Read more...

I would like to talk to you today. Im not going to keep it down to four paragraphs to keep your attention. Im not going to fill it with pretty photos. Im not going to fill it with keyword rich text. (You can already tell cant you?)
This article isnt meant for the faceless world at large, its for you, my faithful readers, who join me when I post a new article. Im not going to push it, twitter it, stumble it, digg it, reddit it or any other number of things. If it takes off, I have only you to thank.
So now, lets talk.
How often do you get asked I dont get asked that a lot, but Ive been asked a few times in the last few days. You see, my wife and I just purchased a home, and we are doing the remodel work ourselves.
My wife is a trooper, a true worker and my best friend and partner. The other day, we were both on our hands and knees, laying polyurethane on hardwood floors with every window in the house open, in 34 degree weather. Watching her work beside me, both of us in our winter coats, hats and gloves in the middle of an empty living room, made my heart swell with pride and love. She is my hiking and kayaking partner too, but there is no guy task that she does not want to or is unwilling to do. Sooo..
Ive been asked Why are you gutting 5 rooms and redoing them yourselves? Why dont you hire someone to do it? Why indeed, why am I doing it? I could hire someone to do it, and they might even do it better than I can. So Why do I do the things I do?
Here we go.
When you think the words I am, what follows in your mind? The answer to that has changed over time, hasnt it? I truly believe that it is the answer to that question that dictates why we do the things we do. Please allow me to explain.
For those of you who have been following me for a while, you may rightly believe that I am passionate about the environment. But the real truth behind a thing isnt the I am, but why am I? Why am I passionate about the Environment, and how does that permeate every other thing that I choose to do or not do? What does the Environment have to do with me doing my own remodeling, and what does that have to do with
Those of us that are struggle with it every day. We try to be deep green to help make up for all the people that are (The opposite of Green. Those people who consume and pollute to an excessive degree) We struggle against the very real and human instinct for comfort, taste and sensuality. We try not to eat to much beef, we recycle our toilet paper tubes, we re-set the margins on our printer paper (that ones for you Robin) and we make do with less, reuse what we can and recycle the rest. Its difficult. It really is, but it helps define us.
Some would say that it gives us a Martyr Syndrome. Some would say that we look down our noses at over consumers, at those who shop because of addiction, low self confidence, ego building or boredom. Some would say that we push a Green Agenda because we are all poor and cant afford to consume like the rest, so we hide it behind this new Some people say these things because they cant see it the way we see it, and thats o.k. They ask these things because they dont understand why. They assume that I am all the things above, but I, like many of you, am successful, make good money and have a healthy 401k, investments and savings account.
This is why. Every thing that we do, except for a few things beyond our control, like our breathing, our hearts beating and sleeping, is a choice that we make. Everything else, from the things we put in our bodies to the things we purchase, to the things that we say, are a choice. These choices that we make are predicated on prioritys. If I say , this will happen. If I eat , then this will happen. If I drive this or purchase this or throw away this then this, this and this will happen. If you are willing to live with the this will happen, chances are you will do
But where do we learn these priorities that drive our choices? Nature and Nurture. Nature dictates that we seek warmth, comfort, love and safety. Nurture dictates that we seek power, respect, peer approval, popularity and thousands of other things. Society dictates that all things, in both categories, can be bought. Why does a Coal Executive fight for Mountaintop Mining when he knows it is wrong? Because he wants to stay an Executive. He wants to keep getting paid. He wants the power and respect associated with his position. Why does an S.U.V. driver living in a McMansion insist that Global Warming is not real? Because they are vested in their lifestyle. The balance of their prioritys have not tipped the scales in favor of them making change in their lives. Because to believe otherwise would make them a hypocrite.
We dont see things the way they are, we see things the way WE are. Priorities change the person we are and the person we are changes the choices that we make. That is why arguing with someone who is vested in a way of life makes no sense. Finding ways to change their priorities is the only way to make change.
So who, or what, changed my priorities? Why would I rather reuse my own labor, than pay someone else for theirs, to remodel my home? Why would I pull 4 good rooms of carpet out and donate it to Habitat for Humanity? Is it because Im almost so green that I would rather someone who needs it more than me, have it? Have I taken the philosophy that far? The fact that there is hardwood underneath doesnt hurt, but yes, I do get a thrill knowing that it will go to someone who needs it.
It took an extreme case for me to change my priorities. It took starting over at the age of 30, on the verge of homelessness, two dufflebags full of clothes and $10.50 in my pocket. Thats what it took to change my priorities. (I gave the $10.00 to a homeless woman with 2 children) At 30, I started over, with .50 cents in my pocket.
It was the best thing that ever could have happened to me. After losing it all, It left me free to figure out what life was really about, and I learned very quickly that it is not about consumption. Its not about destruction. Its not about killing yourself or other people. Its about protecting. Its about protecting both the present and future lives of the people who share this house we call a planet.
Its not about saving the planet, its about saving ourselves. Its not about me hating anyone, or looking down my nose at them, its about me trying to convince them that there is more to the world than the world they know. That there is a world outside the front door of the house, and between the car door and the office door that is there for the exploring.
Its about showing people that their world is like a puzzle on a table. They spend their days pushing down the corners of the pieces of their lives, so they dont bounce out of their life puzzle. Bigger and or better houses, cars, clothes, meals, entertainment, trips, toys, careers Longer work hours, commutes, time spent in front of t.v.s, texting, phone calls, computers More time spent paying builders, lawyers, child care workers, massage therapists, pedicurists, lawn care professionals. Thats a lot of puzzle pieces. How can you have and do all that and give more than just lip service to the environment? Thats a lot of puzzle pieces my friends.
But what if your puzzle got swept off the table? What if it fell, if it shattered, if all the pieces were suddenly gone, and the only piece that you could find, was You? That little piece right in the center. That little piece that all the other pieces had been holding together? Suddenly you are not defined by what you have around you, you are defined by yourself alone. Would you be able to pick yourself up off the floor and turn your back on everything? Would you be able to start over?
If you did start over, what would you do differently? Would you create another puzzle, or would you create more of a picture? Would your life be based on things and consumption or would you base it on relationships and beautiful, natural things that are too big to be swept off the table.s why. Thats why I use my own labor. Its one less puzzle piece. Thats why I love the environment. It cant be swept off the table.
Or can it?
If you think this is worth sharing, please do so.

News >>> Read more...

"Strong Man Acts" moved to North America in the 1800's and are credited with inspiring what is known today as bodybuilding. In that day, a strongman meant someone who displayed his physical prowess, ordinarily as a circus stunt man. If you wanted to see a strongman performance, including bench pressing, steel bending and breaking iron chains, you would have to go to the circus. In the 19th century you could purchase pictures of many of the well known strongmen of the time, bodybuilding did not exist yet, however it did not stop them from flexing and posing for pictures. Today, the word "strongman" is associated with contestants in various contest of strength. (rock lifting, pulling or towing large trucks etc).

Using a combination of different exercises to develop physique and muscle fiber is what is referred to as bodybuilding. (mainly weight training) as well as diet plan. However, not every bodybuilder is in it for the competition. Points are assigned based on muscle tone, muscle mass and muscle definition as well as appearance by the judges of the spot.

Relatively new sport of competitive bodybuilding are presented below, the principal landmarks in the development of it.

* Although two weightlifting events were included in the first modern Olympics of 1896, contemporary bodybuilding really began with a Prussian by the name of Eugene Sandow who invented many present day bodybuilding techniques as well as many of the first exercise equipment for the masses (tension bands, machined dumbbells etc).

* On September 14, 1901, Sandow organized the first ever bodybuilding competition, the Great Competition, held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Sandow's manager was Florenz Ziegfeld, and the 1936 Oscar winning film, The Great Ziegfeld, tells some of the story of the beginning of modern bodybuilding.

* During Sandow's time, the Grecian Ideal was a term used to describe the perfect physique as represented in the classical proportions of ancient Greek and Roman statues. During the early years of competitive bodybuilding, the participants were judged against these proportions to see how closely would they match them, and Sandow worked on his own physique accordingly.

* Sandow's counterpart in North America was a man named Bernarr Macfadden. Macfadden put forth a great deal of effort to increase his strength (he was not healthy during childhood), and began by offering fitness apparatus for sale. He also advocated women's physical fitness (this was considered a great new idea at the time). The first publication of his "Women's Physical Development" magazine arrived in 1900. It was renamed Beauty and Health shortly thereafter. Macfadden set up several healthatoriums (institutes that offered courses in physical fitness) throughout the eastern as well as midwestern parts of America.

* The first bodybuilding competition in America happened on January 16, 1904 and was sponsored by Macfadden.S at Madison Square Garden, New York City. Two of the terms used to describe it were Physique Contest and Physique competition (other than weight competitions, strength exhibitions or athletic feats) was the focus of the show. The winner, Al Treloar, was declared The Most Perfectly Developed Man in the World. Charles Adams is one of the well known competitors who achieved bodybuilding fame, he did so in the years of 1921 and 1922.

* The initial significant worldwide bodybuilding contest was the Mr. Universe competition, established in 1947, then the Mr. Olympian contest that was in 1965.

The period between 1940 and 1970 is known as the Golden Age of bodybuilding because this is when the criterion of more muscle mass was added to the ideal bodybuilder aesthetic, along with the existing criteria of muscular symmetry and definition. World War II is often sited as the chief reason towards the growth of larger, powerful, boldly assertive attitudes. The 1977 film, Pumping Iron, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger also gave bodybuilding added publicity.

* Women's bodybuilding competition began in the 1970s (although a few women had participated in earlier contests organized by Macfadden in the U.S.)

* The International Olympic Committee granted provisional status to the sport of competitive bodybuilding in 1998 but has not yet approved it.

* With advancements in technology, bodybuilders are more massive today than they have ever been. Many competitors in today's bodybuilding competitions weigh over 250 pounds and have less than 5% body fat.

News >>> Read more...

Most places that sell BBQ grill propane tanks will offer a BBQ grill propane tank exchange program in addition to the new tank sales. Basically all you do is bring in your old tank, pay a fee and replace it with a refilled new one. read more..

Americano the best top 10 >>> Read more...

    <lj:music>R.E.M.</lj:music>

In the 40s throughout the 60s, the United States experienced high birth rates, otherwise known as the Baby Boom. Thus, people born within this era were called Baby Boomers who were known to wear mod clothes, sample hallucinogenic drugs, and rock with the Beatles. Great times. But where are the Baby Boomers now? At the turn of the millennium, some of them are in their 40 the oldest already approaching retirement age.
Times have definitely changed; so as the Baby Boomers. They have noticed that their former youthful exuberance and ravenous virility are slowly fading away. This holds true, especially among the men. They may notice that their hairline is frightfully receding, their memory seems to be growing cobwebs and their sexual performance declining. Others may also experience insomnia or other sleeping problems, aches and pains, sweating and flushing, increased fat, loss of muscle mass and strength, irritability and crankiness, and even depression. Most men in this age will basically experience one or all of these in varying degrees.
When a man reaches the age of 30, his testosterone (male hormone) levels naturally and gradually declines. It does so at a staggering rate of 10 percent per decade. Since testosterone helps maintain sex drive, sperm production, pubic and body hair, muscle and bone, the consequences of aging slowly emerge as a man ages.
But do not despair. There are several ways to help Baby Boomers defy the effects of time. They should create a strategy for a healthy lifestyle that incorporates optimal diet, supplements, regular exercise, stress management, and natural hormone enhancement.
Todays diet is deficient in many essential nutrients, but high in sugar, fat, and salt. Your diet should ideally comprise of 25% protein, 25% fat, and 50% carbohydrates. Your protein intake should primarily be from plant sources like tofu and beans, with modest amounts from animal sources like meat. Fat from nuts and olive oil are preferable than from animal products. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables since these are the main sources of carbohydrates. As much as possible, steer clear of junk foods, colas and anything with refined sugars (e.g., doughnuts) since they induce the production of cortisol, a primary age-inducing hormone.
Diet alone cannot meet all the necessary nutrients needed by our body. Thus, you need to take supplements like vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other nutritional factors to be able to meet your daily requirements.
Physical activity can also alleviate the symptoms of aging. Since aging decreases your bone and muscle mass, it is good to have regular exercise which includes cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training. Getting regular exercise has shown to help increase your metabolism, allowing you to burn more fat. It also strengthens your heart and keeps your body flexible. Furthermore, exercise stimulates the production of growth hormones, which helps to rejuvenate aged cells and reverse the aging process.
Stress only accelerates the aging process. Thats why another key element in your anti-aging strategy is stress management. Try relaxing activities such as Yoga, sports, meditation, reading, massages, etc. These activities let you focus on other things and help you calm down and loosen up.
Another way to put off the common symptoms of aging is by natural hormone enhancement. The human growth hormone, produced by the pituitary gland, is largely involved with regulating the growth of body tissues. HGH comes in injections, spray and supplements (pills and tablets) which stimulate the pituitary gland to naturally increase its production. However, you should first consult with your physician before trying out anything.
Aging poses a great impact in the quality of our lives; but with a healthy lifestyle (including proper diet, supplements, regular exercise, stress management, and natural hormone enhancement), you can reduce or even prevent the symptoms associated with aging.
Visit the best natural male enhancement site and discover the best penis enlargement methods.

The best top 10 >>> Read more...

Unlike the more usual type of hypertension that comes on through years and can be caused by controllable circumstances such as obesity, essential hypertension has no such cause. It is often said that this type of hypertension just is and so it is dealt with as an inherited situation as opposed to a provoked one. Because essential hypertension is its own cause, it is also called primary hypertension.

The Prognosis

It is not seen as a devastating event to be diagnosed with essential hypertension these days because it is usually controlled without complications by using everyday blood pressure medication. Moreover, though limiting alcohol consumption and controlling weight are factors in all types of hypertension, since these things are not the causes of essential hypertension, they don't go very far toward effecting a cure. So, medication and regular examines are most often prescribed.

Treating Essential Hypertension

One school of thought is primary hypertension actually does have an underlying cause but the medical profession has yet to discover what it could be. The reason this hypothesis is viable is that some patients will respond to the same treatment that other patients may not benefit from at all. This leads to the conclusion patient-A may, indeed have a truly primary hypertension while patient-B still has an undiscovered underlying problem.

In the end, a medical professional will come up with a plan that will control the hypertension and allow the patient to lead a normal life. Sometimes however, finding the treatment will require a little trial and error.

Because blood pressure medication is meant to be taken daily, no dosages should be missed. This is because hypertension medication has a cumulative effect and skipping a dose lessens the power of the overall treatment.

Not only should the patient avoid missing his/her daily dosage of blood pressure medication, but he/she must take it at the same time everyday. This is because hypertension medication is not as effective even if it is just missed on rare occasions. Also, it loses its effectiveness if it is not taken at consistent intervals. This means following the doctor's orders includes what part of the day the medication should be taken.

Monitor Your Medication's Effect

Once the medication has been administered, it is important the patient let the doctor know if he/she is feeling any ill effects from it. Sometimes, the type or just the amount of the medication will have to be changed once or even twice before the best prescription is found. This is because, of course every one is different and so, the first prescription can be a bit of a guessing game.

Though hypertension is a disease usually thought as something that develops as people start to age, essential hypertension is more prevalent in people who are young. In fact, teenagers are its number one target. This is because whereas aging can be a cause of ordinary hypertension, essential hypertension is present without a cause.

Because hypertension had not been discovered too many generations ago, a very popular hypothesis at this point in time is that essential hypertension is genetic. Of course, it will have to be studied for a longer period of time before a conclusion as to whether or not it is inherited can be made.

Best sites about >>> Read more...

Despite our differences in opinion on dating and messageboard posts, there is a situation staring Black women dead in the face. Love me, hate me, cuss me out and call me names...Just demand better for Black women. Add me to your blogroll, remove me, or ban me...Just stand up for Black women. The crimes committed against us are often glossed over in favor of fighting perceived injustices against Black men who are overwhelmingly found to be the perpetrators. Rev. These phony sychophants of the "Black Community Machine" will never stand up for Black women who are the constant victims of damaged Black men. Consider the numerous BW who have become victims that we can name off the top of our heads. When will we cease giving endless support to a false community which openly (with misogynist music), or with silence, endorse cruelty against us? We cannot go on pretending the so called Black "leadership"
has our best interests at heart. The rare occasions "Black leadership" has shown their face for BW is where there is a possibility of playing the racecard. Black women must cease and desist any support of
these organizations and their figureheads...
-If the reader wishes not to have their photos or blog on this site...email me and i will be more than happy to remove it -Please report any dead or otherwise irrelevant linx Questions and/or concerns?
thecwexperience(nospammy)@hotmail.

Americano top 10 >>> Read more...

His quirky, likable character has been the reason many fans say they've stuck with the show through the nine seasons, turning it into a mega-hit for CBS.

Americano top 10 >>> Read more...

At the end of October, We took a trip to Wisconsin to meet Josh's dad, but first we stopped in Minnesota to go to THE MALL OF AMERICA. It was so big. There were 4 floors and endless numbers of shops. It takes about an hour just to walk around one floor and that doesn't even count actually stopping and looking in shops. We stayed at a very nice hotel which even has an indoor pool and jacuzzi and our rental car was a new Mustang. However, we were not impressed with the new mustangs. After that, we drove to Wisconsin to see Josh's dad 'Robin'. On our way over there we drove across a stretch of road that I swear to God was 200 miles with absolutly nothing. However, we did get to see the "OceanSpray Cranberry Factory." It was quite adorable! Then we spent about a week at Robin's house. It was a good time. He was so nice. Josh and I are in the process of trying to talk to him into moving back down here.

Top 10 >>> Read more...
